Dromana is located 75 km to the south of Melbourne and features a population of around 6,000 people.
The name “Dromana” is believed to be of Irish origin, named after an influx of gold prospectors settled in the area in the 1830s.
The long shores of its beaches and the wide spread of open, grassy areas provides Dromana residents and visitors many different areas for outdoor enjoyment.
For more touristy things to do, the historic 2-acre Heronswood property can be found in Dromana. This heritage home features wonderful heirloom plants and gardens dating back to 1871 and has café featuring produce from these gardens.
